54 foreign workers found illegally in the Alentejo most of them are Nepalese

Farmers in Alentejo continue to resort to service providers who provide labor, work underground, this time coming from Thailand and Nepal.Numa joint action between the Foreigners and Borders Service (SEF) and the National Republican Guard ( GNR), held on 30 and 31 May, in the Alentejo, were found in a blueberry farm in another cattle and an orchard of oranges 25 undeclared workers and 29 in situation of illegal transfer of hand labor.

" With regard to Thai workers it was found that they were "all in a situation of illegal transfer of hand labor", as the temporary employment agency providing the service "did not have their license." The exploitation of livestock, which employed seven people of various nationalities, it was found that "four were in undeclared situation." In the intervention that the supervisory authorities carried out to an orchard, where they worked 21 workers of Romanian nationality, inspectors found that they were "all in undeclared situation."
